Arens Regularity of the Algebra C(K,A)

A. ÜLger

Department of Mathematics, Bogaziçi University 80815 Bebek—Istanbul, Turkey

Let K be a compact Hausdorff space, A be a Banach algebra and C(K, A) the Banach algebra of continuous functions {varphi}: K -> A, equipped with the pointwise multiplication and the supremum norm. We prove that the algebra C(K, A) is Arens regular if and only if the algebra A is Arens regular.
